1. In this list, “Within the city” related to the deceased (except for a fetus born at 4 or more months of pregnancy) refers to the case where the deceased had an address in Iga City when they died. In the case of fetuses born at 4 or more months of pregnancy, either of their parents should have an address in Iga City at the fetus’ time of death. “Independent settlement areas” refers to the case of having an address in any of the municipalities that have concluded an agreement with Iga on the formation of independent settlement areas (Minamiyamashiro-mura, Kasagi-cho and Yamazoe-mura, Nabari-shi). “Outside the city” refers to the case of having an address in other places than “Iga City” or the “Independent settlement areas”.

Requests regarding Usage of Iga City Funeral Hall
Please follow the rules below when using Iga City Funeral Hall.
1.
Do not place burial items in the coffin.
Burial items such as the deceased’s favorite belongings or mementos, plastic items, books and food items
placed in the coffin not only prolong the cremation time, but also damage or stain the deceased’s remains
and cremation chamber, while also generating harmful smoke.
2.
Please take home all the funeral items that you brought (straw sandals, sacred tree branches, Buddhist
altar fittings, funeral implements, etc.)
3.
If the deceased had a pacemaker, etc. fitted due to heart disease, etc. please make sure to inform the
funeral hall staff. (It may explode during cremation and cause danger.)
4.
No “gratuities” to the funeral hall staff accepted. Our funeral staff never request “gratuities”.
5.
Please make sure to follow the instructions of the staff in the funeral hall.
Please note the following on the day of using the funeral hall.
1.
Please make sure you arrive at the funeral hall 20 minutes before your reserved cremation time. You can
bid farewell to the deceased. You can also bid farewell to your deceased pet in the animal cremation farewell
room.
2.
Please make sure to bring the “Cremation permit” and “Funeral hall usage permit”, and hand them to the staff.
Regarding the cremation of small animals, please complete the necessary procedures including submission of
your application for funeral hall usage permit at the reception desk. Please bring the usage fee.
3.
Please bring a “cinerary urn” for the deceased’s remains.
4.
Cremation time is around one and half hours. You can wait in the “waiting lobby” or the “waiting room” during the cremation. Please return any equipment that you used to its original location.
5.
If you damage property of the funeral hall, we will ask you to pay the actual restoration costs.
6.
If you are accompanied by a child, please ensure that they do not cause trouble to others.
7.
Alcohol is not allowed within the funeral hall facility. If you bring food, please eat it in the waiting room and take any garbage home.
8.
Please understand that no smoking is allowed on the premises, in order to prevent exposure to secondhand smoke.
9.
Please refrain from taking photos within the funeral hall.
The process for small animals cremation is as follows.
1.
Please make sure to apply to the Iga City funeral hall by phone.
2.
The date and time of the cremation and collection of remains will be informed to you at the time of application.
3.
Remains larger than 65cm in height, 65cm in width and 210cm in depth cannot be cremated.
4.
When you bring your deceased pet to the funeral hall, please enclose the remains in a plastic bag or box to prevent odours or body liquid from leaking outside. Please do not include burial items (collar, clothes, food, etc.) with the remains.
5.
Please bring the “usage fee” and a “container for the remains (if collecting remains)”.
